Patrick Castrenze

Office and Editorial Manager

Patrick is the mastermind behind Wordwright’s online operations and office logistics, and we make good use of his impressive range of skills.

As a past developmental editor of manuscripts, Patrick has polished the prose of writers from Cornell University’s Human-Computer Interaction Design Lab, University of California–Davis’ School of Education, and Berkeley’s Center for Digital Storytelling. He has also partnered with San Francisco-based Zest Books.

As a creative storyteller, Patrick’s editorial abilities extend to other media such as radio documentaries and digital storytelling, where strong, economic language drives every good story.

He worked for five years as an organic farmer and ranch hand, and in 2010 was awarded an artist’s residency at New Pacific Studio to continue work on a collaborative writing project that investigated personal narrative and the agricultural experience.

Patrick attended Cornell University, where he was recognized for excellence with the Anson E. Rowe and Kenneth J. Bissett scholarships. He graduated with Research Honors in 2009 with a B.S. in Communication and a concentration in Media Studies.
